Literacy

In Literacy our aim is for all children to become effective readers, writers and communicators by the time they leave our school.

We teach Literacy through: 

• Shared, guided and individual reading, focusing on comprehension as well as reading words and a wide variety of text types

• Shared, guided and individual writing, focusing on composition and effect of the writing as well as handwriting, punctuation and spelling

• Drama, role play and speaking and listening activities.
