PSHE and Citizenship

(Personal, Social, Health Education)
and Citizenship

P.S.H.E. and citizenship help to give pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become active, responsible adults.

In this school children are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities across the curriculum, contributing to the life of the school and the community.

All classes follow the SEAL curriculum. (social and emotional aspects of learning)

This is divided into six themes that are covered throughout the year.

  • New beginnings
  • Getting on and falling out
  • Say no to bullying

( Linked to National Anti- Bullying week in November)

  • Going for goals
  • Good to be me
  • Relationships
  • Changes

SEAL is embedded throughout school, in classrooms and through Collective Worship, to support the emotional health and well being of all our children.
